AXFORD SETS CANADIAN RECORD

John Axford’s amazing season continues and last night (Oct 13, 2011) he set the Canadian career post season saves record with his 3rd save. He passed Hall of Famer Ron Taylor (1 in 1964 and 1 in 1969). Only 18 Canadian pitchers have pitched in the postseason with the first being John Rutherford with the 1952 Dodgers.
