Justin Morneau (New Westminster, B.C.) and Ryan Dempster (Sechelt, B.C.) have started off the 2010 baseball season with a bang and for that they have been named the Canadian players of the month.
Morneau played in 21 games, scoring 18 runs with 26 hits, including 5 homeruns and 17 RBI’s. He also compiled a .490OBP, .640SLG% and .347AVG.
Dempster started 5 games, winning 2 of them with a 2.78ERA while pitching 35.2 innings and striking out 32.
