Jason Bay (Trail, B.C.) and Joey Votto (Toronto, ON) both received MVP votes this week from thier leagues. Jason capped his 36HR and 119RBI season with a 7th place finish in the AL MVP voting with 78 points, including one 3rd place vote. Read more HERE.

While Joey Votto missed 31 games this season he still managed to hit 25HR and collect 84RBI’s while finishing with a .414OBP, .567SLG and .322AVG and finished 22nd in NL MVP voting with 4 points, including one 7th place vote. Read more HERE.

The only Canadians to win the MVP are Larry Walker (NL MVP 1997) and Justin Morneau (AL MVP 2006).
