M\u00eame si nous aurions aim\u00e9 qu'il soit l\u00e0 pour vivre cet honneur lui-m\u00eame, cela signifie beaucoup pour nous de voir ses contributions reconnues d'une mani\u00e8re aussi significative. \u00bb<\/em> &#8211; <em>Melani, Jamie et Mitch Baba<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>N\u00e9 le 6 ao\u00fbt 1956 \u00e0 Moose Jaw (SK), Jim Baba a consacr\u00e9 plus de trois d\u00e9cennies \u00e0 la croissance et au d\u00e9veloppement du baseball au Canada. Son r\u00f4le le plus important a \u00e9t\u00e9 celui de PDG de Baseball Canada de 2000 \u00e0 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Baba a commenc\u00e9 sa carri\u00e8re dans le sport en tant que directeur des parcs et loisirs \u00e0 Kindersley, en Saskatchewan, avant de devenir directeur des op\u00e9rations de Baseball Saskatchewan de 1989 \u00e0 2000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tout au long de sa carri\u00e8re, la plus grande passion de Baba a \u00e9t\u00e9 l'entra\u00eenement et il a enseign\u00e9 d'innombrables cours du Programme national de certification des entra\u00eeneurs (PNCE). Au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 90, Baba a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 collaborer avec Baseball Canada, entra\u00eenant et dirigeant des \u00e9quipes nationales lors de comp\u00e9titions internationales, notamment aux Jeux panam\u00e9ricains de 1991, puis aux Coupes du monde de baseball de 1994, 1998 et 2005.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En 2000, Baba est devenu directeur des op\u00e9rations baseball de Baseball Canada avant d'acc\u00e9der au poste de PDG. Parmi ses r\u00e9alisations les plus remarquables \u00e0 ce poste, citons son soutien \u00e0 l'\u00e9quipe nationale masculine senior qui a remport\u00e9 la m\u00e9daille d'or aux Jeux panam\u00e9ricains de 2011 et 2015 et la supervision du d\u00e9ploiement de programmes nationaux tels que le Rallye Cap, le baseball f\u00e9minin et le baseball d'hiver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Baba a \u00e9galement eu un impact important sur le baseball \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle internationale. Entre 2002 et 2021, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 officiel technique pour la Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration mondiale de baseball et softball (WBSC) lors de 25 \u00e9v\u00e9nements internationaux, notamment les qualifications olympiques, les Jeux panam\u00e9ricains, la Coupe du monde U18, la Coupe du monde f\u00e9minine et la Classique mondiale de baseball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour ses efforts, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 intronis\u00e9 au Temple de la renomm\u00e9e du baseball de la Saskatchewan en 2008 et a re\u00e7u la m\u00e9daille de l'Ordre du diamant d'or de la WBSC en 2022.
