Apr\u00e8s avoir termin\u00e9 ses \u00e9tudes secondaires \u00e0 Welland, Paul Beeston a obtenu un bac en arts avec une majeure en \u00e9conomie et sciences politiques de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Western Ontario en 1968. Il a rapidement \u00e9t\u00e9 embauch\u00e9 pour Coopers & Lybrand \u00e0 London et a \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9 comptable en 1971.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Il est demeur\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019employ\u00e9 de cette firme jusqu\u2019\u00e0 son embauche par les Blue Jays de Toronto le 10 mai 1976. En tant que premier employ\u00e9, il a d\u2019abord occup\u00e9 le poste de vice-pr\u00e9sident administratif et, d\u00e8s l\u2019ann\u00e9e suivante, vice-pr\u00e9sident des op\u00e9rations affaires. Il a continu\u00e9 de gravir les \u00e9chelons, devant le vice-pr\u00e9sident ex\u00e9cutif des affaires en 1984 et pr\u00e9sident et chef de la direction en 1989. Le 13 d\u00e9cembre 1991, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9 le chef des op\u00e9rations de la concession, \u00e9tant aux premi\u00e8res loges lors des deux conqu\u00eates cons\u00e9cutives de la S\u00e9rie mondiale.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

En 1997, Beeston est devenu le pr\u00e9sident et chef de la direction des Ligues majeures de baseball. L\u2019ann\u00e9e suivante, il a re\u00e7u l\u2019Ordre du Canada. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019employ\u00e9 au bureau des Ligues majeures jusqu\u2019en 2002. En 2008, Beeston a vu son nom \u00eatre ajout\u00e9 au club d\u2019excellence. Le dirigeant hautement respect\u00e9 est revenu comme chef de la direction par int\u00e9rim de l\u2019\u00e9quipe en octobre 2008.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
