During that stretch, he had eight consecutive, 30-home run campaigns, was selected to two all-star games (2000, 2003), won three Silver Slugger Awards (1999, 2000, 2003), a Hank Aaron Award (2000) and was named The Sporting News Major League Player of the Year (2000). He also finished second to Alex Rodriguez in the American League MVP voting in 2003. Not only did Delgado lead the Blue Jays in numerous offensive categories, he also topped the American League in doubles (57) and total bases (378) in 2000 and in RBI (145) and on-base plus slugging percentage (1.019) in 2003. C\u2019est doublement sp\u00e9cial pour moi en raison de la relation que j\u2019ai avec les Jays et leurs fans de partout \u00e0 travers le Canada. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p><strong>Corey Koskie<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/baseballhalloffame.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Corey-Koskie-Twins2-Copy.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-13718\" src=\"https:\/\/baseballhalloffame.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Corey-Koskie-Twins2-Copy-188x300.jpg\" alt=\"Corey Koskie Twins2 - Copy\" width=\"188\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>Born in Anola, Man., in 1973, Koskie was a multi-sport star in high school, excelling in baseball, hockey and volleyball. After choosing to focus on baseball, he honed his skills at the National Baseball Institute in Surrey, B.C., in 1993 before he was selected in the 26<sup>th<\/sup> round of the 1994 MLB amateur draft by the Minnesota Twins.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019athl\u00e8te de 6 pieds et 3 pouces a jou\u00e9 pendant cinq saisons dans les rangs mineurs avant de faire ses d\u00e9buts chez les professionnels le 9 septembre 1998. For his efforts, he was named co-winner (with Larry Walker) of the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame\u2019s Tip O\u2019Neill Award. I&#8217;m not sure what to say or think,\u201d said Koskie when told of his upcoming induction. \u201cI know the standard thing to say is, \u2018What an honor,\u2019\u00a0but that doesn\u2019t communicate what I\u2019m feeling right now.\u00a0It\u2019s much more than that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Matt Stairs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/baseballhalloffame.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Matt-Stairs-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-13615\" src=\"https:\/\/baseballhalloffame.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Matt-Stairs-2-263x300.jpg\" alt=\"Matt Stairs (2)\" width=\"263\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>Born in Saint John, N.B., in 1968,\u00a0and grew up and lived in Fredericton, N.B., Stairs was hoping to become a professional hockey player until he sustained a serious knee injury in high school. When he recovered, he decided to focus on baseball and he honed his skills at the National Baseball Institute in Surrey, B.C. and with Canada\u2019s junior national team. In 1988, he competed for Canada in the Olympics and hit .362 at the Baseball World Cup and was named the tournament\u2019s top shortstop.<\/p>\n<p>Ses succ\u00e8s sur la sc\u00e8ne internationale ont convaincu les Expos de le signer en tant qu\u2019agent libre en 1989. Il se retrouve \u00e9galement au deuxi\u00e8me rang pour les matchs jou\u00e9s (1895) et les buts sur balles (717), troisi\u00e8me pour les points produits (899) et les doubles (294) et est l\u2019un des quatre Canadiens \u00e0 avoir jou\u00e9 pour les Expos et les Blue Jays (tout comme Shawn Hill, Denis Boucher et Rob Ducey). Il a aussi port\u00e9 les couleurs du Canada lors des Classiques mondiale de 2006 et 2009.<\/p>\n<p>For his efforts, he was elected to the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame in 2012. Since retiring as a player, he has served as a studio analyst for the Boston Red Sox and is currently a TV analyst for the Philadelphia Phillies. He continues to be very active in charitable endeavors, including organizing an annual golf tournament that raises money for the Fredericton Minor Baseball Association and the Fredericton SPCA. He also volunteers his time as a baseball and hockey coach.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Je suis vraiment fier et honor\u00e9 de me retrouver en si bonne compagnie au Temple de la renomm\u00e9e du baseball canadien. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p><strong>Felipe Alou<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/baseballhalloffame.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Felipe-Alou-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-13621\" src=\"https:\/\/baseballhalloffame.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Felipe-Alou-1-201x300.jpg\" alt=\"Felipe Alou (1)\" width=\"201\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>Alou a \u00e9t\u00e9 associ\u00e9 aux Expos de Montr\u00e9al pendant 27 des 36 ann\u00e9es d\u2019existence du club, autant \u00e0 titre de joueur, d\u2019instructeur que de g\u00e9rant. L\u2019homme, grandement respect\u00e9 de tous, est devenu instructeur chez les Expos apr\u00e8s une carri\u00e8re de joueur qui a dur\u00e9 18 ans o\u00f9 il a maintenu une moyenne au b\u00e2ton de ,286, frapp\u00e9 2101 coups s\u00fbrs et invit\u00e9 \u00e0 trois matchs des \u00e9toiles. Il a jou\u00e9 19 parties pour les Expos en 1973.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00e9 en 1935 \u00e0 Bajos de Haina en R\u00e9publique dominicaine, Alou est devenu un g\u00e9rant vedette chez les Expos apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 engag\u00e9 en 1976. Il a d\u2019abord dirig\u00e9 au niveau A et AA avant d\u2019\u00eatre appel\u00e9 avec le grand club par Dick Williams pour les saisons 1979 et 1980.<\/p>\n<p>Il a fait un autre s\u00e9jour dans les mineures, menant la formation AAA de Denver en 1981 \u00e0 un championnat et \u00e0 Wichita l\u2019ann\u00e9e suivante. Il a fait un bref retour \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al et est retourn\u00e9 diriger au niveau AAA, \u00e0 Indianapolis en 1985. De 1986 \u00e0 1991, il \u00e9tait le ma\u00eetre des Expos de West Palm Beach au niveau A, o\u00f9 il a gagn\u00e9 le championnat dans la Ligue de la Floride et \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9 le g\u00e9rant de l\u2019ann\u00e9e. Le 22 mai 1992, les Expos ont fait de lui leur g\u00e9rant.<\/p>\n<p>En acceptant ce poste, Alou devenait le premier g\u00e9rant dominicain de l\u2019histoire des Majeures. En dix saisons \u00e0 la t\u00eate de la formation, il a r\u00e9colt\u00e9 691 victoires, un record de concession, alors que le club vivait de continuelles difficult\u00e9s financi\u00e8res. Malgr\u00e9 tout, les \u00e9quipes d\u2019Alou ont termin\u00e9 \u00e0 trois reprises en deuxi\u00e8me position (1992, 1993 et 1996) et \u00e9taient en premi\u00e8re place en 1994 lors du d\u00e9clenchement de la gr\u00e8ve des joueurs. Il a re\u00e7u le titre de g\u00e9rant de l\u2019ann\u00e9e en 1994 et a dirig\u00e9 la formation \u00e9toiles de la Nationale en 1995.<\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s avoir quitt\u00e9 l\u2019organisation des Expos, Alou a \u00e9t\u00e9 instructeur pour les Tigers de D\u00e9troit en 2002 et a ensuite dirig\u00e9 les Giants de San Francisco de 2003 \u00e0 2006. En 2006, il est devenu le premier g\u00e9rant latin \u00e0 gagner 1000 matchs. Depuis 2007, il est un conseiller sp\u00e9cial aupr\u00e8s du directeur-g\u00e9rant des Giants Brian Sabean. L\u2019ann\u00e9e 2015 marque sa 60e saison dans le baseball professionnel.<sup>th<\/sup> in professional baseball.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Je suis honor\u00e9 d\u2019\u00eatre inclus dans cette liste de grands. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bob Elliott<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/baseballhalloffame.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/elliott-sun-add.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-13719\" src=\"https:\/\/baseballhalloffame.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/elliott-sun-add-195x300.jpg\" alt=\"elliott sun add\" width=\"195\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>Born in Kingston, Ont., in 1949, Elliott was introduced to baseball by his father, Bob, and grandfather, Chaucer, both of whom were superb athletes. A second baseman who discovered early in his teens that he couldn\u2019t hit the curveball, Elliott turned his attention to baseball statistics. His career in journalism began when he started compiling box scores for Kingston\u2019s senior team and submitting them to the Kingston Whig-Standard \u2013 a job that paid him $100 a\u00a0season. When he was 17, he was offered a job as a sports reporter by the paper.<\/p>\n<p>Sa m\u00e8re a pleur\u00e9 lorsqu\u2019il lui a demand\u00e9 conseil, elle qui le voyait entrer \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Queen\u2019s.
