Il a d\u00e9but\u00e9 sa carri\u00e8re de descripteur \u00e0 la radio francophone des Expos en 1972 et a maintenu le fort pendant 33 ans. Au cours de sa carri\u00e8re, il a d\u00e9crit les matchs les plus historiques de la franchise montr\u00e9alaise dont le match parfait de Dennis Martinez, membre du Temple de la renomm\u00e9e du baseball canadien depuis 2016, r\u00e9alis\u00e9 le 28 juillet 1991. Pendant plusieurs ann\u00e9es, il a aussi d\u00e9crit les s\u00e9ries d\u2019apr\u00e8s-saison et les S\u00e9ries mondiales, toujours en fran\u00e7ais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Jacques Doucet was the French voice of the Montreal Expos for over three decades. Along the way, he invented a whole new glossary of baseball terms to help French-speaking fans understand the game and called virtually every meaningful game in Expos&#8217; history. In more recent years, he broadcast Blue Jays games in French and by the time he retired in 2022, he had called more than 5,500 big league games. Jacques was also a strong supporter of baseball at the grassroots level in Quebec. He had a tremendous impact on the sport in our country and he will be deeply missed.
