Suiting up alongside baseball immortals like Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio and Bill Dickey, the Hunstville native is best known as the man that replaced Babe Ruth in right field for the Bronx Bombers. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

De 1943 \u00e0 1945, Selkirk a \u00e9t\u00e9 au service de la Marine am\u00e9ricaine. \u00c0 son retour de la guerre, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 joueur-entra\u00eeneur avec le club \u00e9cole des Yankees \u00e0 Newark. Lorsqu\u2019il a pris sa retraite comme joueur, il est devenu superviseur du personnel des joueurs pour l\u2019organisation des Athletics de Kansas City et le directeur-g\u00e9n\u00e9ral des Senators de Washington de 1964 \u00e0 1969.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
