St.Marys – The prestigious 7th Annual Baseball Fantasy Pool sponsored by the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame is about to begin, and the reigning champ, Chris Devlin had this to say about the baseball pool:
“The Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame’s fantasy pool is a fun, inexpensive and easy way to help support the hall’s efforts to promote the great game of baseball while giving you the excitement of following some of your favourite MLB players throughout the season. If you’re lucky enough to pick the right combination of players you will not only having bragging rights over friends, colleagues and the baseball community but you’ll see that the hall offers some very cool prizes that any baseball fan would cherish. So fill out those forms, send in your money and take your shot at the champ!”

The 2013 pool is offering more than $1100 worth of prizes, including a very unique prize to the champion – a limited edition induction bat created by the Hall of Fame bearing the signature of Roberto Alomar.
And it’s so easy that ANYONE can play!
The format is extremely user-friendly – a one-page form for entrants to simply choose one player each group of five who they feel will perform better than the rest.
To make it even easier, next to each player’s name on the entry form is their 2012 point total. From there, the fun begins. Did he top out last year? Did he under-achieve? Was he hurt? Was his production up or down due to who hit behind him? Is it his team that makes him good? Does being Canadian matter? Or should the names be selected randomly! Only the entrant can answer these questions, but checking out last year’s point total is a good starting point.
At the All-Star Break (July 15-18), two players (1 pitcher & 1 position player) can be traded for another player in the same original pool of five players as the player you are disposing.
