All nominees for the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum must be either Canadian or have done something significant in baseball in Canada. Anyone who meets the following criteria may be included on the ballot.
These are the minimum requirements for election into CBHFM . Separate ballots by category will be provided.
Please note that Teams will fall under the male or female, or veteran category depending on the year of the team.
All qualified nominees remain on the ballot for up to nine (9) years, provided the nominee does not receive less than two votes two years in a row. Should a nominee receive less than two votes two years in a row, the nominee is removed from the ballot. Nominees may not be renominated for one year following removal.
The Selection Committee consists of 24 individuals spread across Canada including media, past inductees, historians and executives. The staff and Directors of the Hall of Fame do not get a vote in the selection process.
A person must be nominated by a member of the public. The deadline for nomination is December 1st of each year. Completed nomination forms can be emailed to [email protected] by the submission deadline. You can download a nomination form at the link below.
