Player nominations – To be considered for the Hall of Fame nomination process, player nominees must have been retired for at least three (3) years.
Other nominations – For all other nomination categories including executives, umpires, announcers, scouts, etc., nominees can still be active.
Nationality – All nominees must be either Canadian OR have done something significant in baseball in Canada.
Qualification – All qualified nominees must receive 75% of the vote on the annual ballot to be inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame.
All qualified nominees remain on the ballot for up to nine (9) years, provided the nominee does not receive zero votes in two successive years. Should two years with zero votes occur, the nominee is removed from the ballot. Nominees may not be renominated for one year.
A person must be nominated by a member of the public. Deadline for nomination is December 1st of each year. Completed nomination forms can be emailed to [email protected] by the submission deadline.
Selection Committee consists of 24 individuals spread across Canada including media, past inductees, historians and executives.
