Canadian Baseball History Conference
The 6th annual Canadian Baseball History Conference is all set for Saturday, November 4 and Sunday, November 5, 2023 in downtown Toronto. Join us for two full days of research presentations and discussion on any and all aspects of the history of baseball in Canada. Learn (among many other things) about a big cheese (literally) in Ingersoll, Ontario in that town’s heyday as ruler of the Canadian baseball world, about race riots at Toronto’s Christie Pits, about the role of the telegraph in baseball reporting, and about how baseball influenced the philosophy of media theorist Marshall McLuhan.
There will be 16 presentations during the weekend including topics such as:
