CONCLUSION
Thirty years out, the Toronto Blue Jays’ triumph in the 1993 World Series remains one of the most iconic events in Canadian sports history, with the final game’s dramatic conclusion and Carter’s victory lap to home base instilling pride and wistfulness in seasoned fans. Toronto would not return to the ALCS until 2015, and has yet to make its third attempt at the World Series. However, Jays fans hold out hope that their #1 team, and Canada along with them, will once more enjoy the sweet taste of victory.
