U11 LL St. Marys Rockies
Congratulations to this week’s Team of the Week: the U11 LL St. Marys Rockies!
The U11 LL Rockies finished regular season play in third place this year. Amazingly, some of the Rockies players were completely new to the sport, but the steep learning curve did not hold anyone back. The team worked together incredibly hard, supporting each other through the highs of winning and improving, and the lows of losing and injuries. All of their teamwork and effort paid off as the Rockies made it all the way to the gold medal match in this year’s final tournament, falling short by just three runs to take home a hard-fought silver. Per the team’s nomination, “everyone gained skills and strengths throughout the season… This team is an example of sportsmanship, community and fun!” The team of veteran and new players bonded through their love of the game and their support of one another, and they are “a fantastic group of kids!”
U11 LL St. Marys Rockies, you are the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum Team of the Week!
