NEW YORK — The National Baseball Hall of Fame is set to announce its Class of 2011 on Wednesday and the question really shouldn’t be whether Roberto Alomar or Bert Blyleven will get in. It’s how far their vote totals will push them beyond the magic 75 percent line.
A year ago, the pair made history when Blyleven missed election by five votes and Alomar missed by eight on a ballot in which outfielder Andre Dawson was the only player elected by eligible members of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America.
THE HALL OF FAME HAS AUTOGRAPHED ITEMS FOR SALE FOR THE NEWEST COOPERSTOWN INDUCTEES!
