Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum job posting: CURATOR
The Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, which recently opened a new museum and collections storage facility, seeks a part-time curator with a passion for collections management and baseball.
The duties of the curator will include:
- Assessing and organizing current collection
- Establishing and maintaining collections database
- Coordinating acquisitions with support of the Acquisition Committee
- Coordinating preservation and proper storage of objects
- Assisting researchers with access to the collection
- Identifying and coordinating future temporary and travelling exhibitions
The qualifications of the curator are:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Museum Studies
- Experience working in collections management
- Interest and enthusiasm for baseball
Terms of employment:
- One-year contract with potential to renew
- Flexible work schedule up to 20 hours per week
- Total compensation up to $30,000 per year
