Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum job posting: CURATOR

The Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, which recently opened a new museum and collections storage facility, seeks a part-time curator with a passion for collections management and baseball.

The duties of the curator will include:

  • Assessing and organizing current collection
  • Establishing and maintaining collections database
  • Coordinating acquisitions with support of the Acquisition Committee
  • Coordinating preservation and proper storage of objects
  • Assisting researchers with access to the collection
  • Identifying and coordinating future temporary and travelling exhibitions

The qualifications of the curator are:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Museum Studies
  • Experience working in collections management
  • Interest and enthusiasm for baseball

Terms of employment:

  • One-year contract with potential to renew
  • Flexible work schedule up to 20 hours per week
  • Total compensation up to $30,000 per year
