By the way the only record one of them don’t hold is the Triples record. That’s held by Bill Phillips with 15 in 1886!

Russell holds 11 Single Season Canadian catching records. He leads in G (155), AB (553), R (87), H (158), D (32), HR (19), RBI (87), BB (90), SB (21), K (89), TB (253). George Gibson holds the Triples record with 9 in 1909 and Justin Clark holds the OBP (.400), SLG (.486) and AVG (.358) records.

Being only 150 games from breaking the record it should only take 2 more seasons. Plus if Matt plays a game with the Washington Nationals in 2011 he will set an MLB record for most teams played for with 13 (Montreal, Boston, Oakland, Chicago Cubs, Milwaukee, Pittsburgh, Kansas City, Texas, Detroit, Toronto, Philadelphia and San Diego). He also holds the MLB record for most career pinch hit HR’s with 23.
