Shipanoff pitched in 26 games in the 1985 season, finishing with a 1–2 record, three saves, and a 3.22 ERA. He won the 1985 Tip O’Neill Award, presented by the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame. Shipanoff did not play in the 1986 season, or any following season.
