Duane Ward played most of his career with the Toronto Blue Jays, from 1986 – 1995. Ward took over the Blue Jays closer role in 1993 and proceeded to set the team’s single season record for saves with 45. Ward was the closing pitcher for the American League in the 1993 All Star Game, and helped the Jays to victory in back-to-back World Series wins in 1992 and 1993.
