Fergie Jenkins has been honoured as a bobblehead multiple times by both Major and Minor League teams including the Chicago Cubs, the Columbus Clippers, the Chattanooga Lookouts, and the Rockford Riverhawks. This Texas Rangers bobblehead, created to honour Fergie Jenkins, was given out as a promotional item to fans attending a Rangers home game on August 10th, 2007.

Jenkins is a three-time All-Star, a National League Cy Young Award winner, and an inductee of both the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and the National Baseball Hall of Fame. He was the first Canadian ever elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.

Jenkins played for the Texas Rangers from 1974-1975 and again in 1978-1981.
