11 teams, including provinces’ best, converge this weekend
St. Marys – Team New Era, a collective of the Western Ontario Baseball Association’s best players born in 1997, will host the First Annual New Era Hall of Fame Classic this weekend, featuring a dozen AAA teams from across the province, including the 2010 provincial champion Brampton Royals and finalist North York Blues.
Action begins with New Era playing the first game at the St. Marys Cement Company Field at the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame on Friday, July 15th, at 4:00pm, and will continue throughout the weekend. The tournament will be played on St. Marys Cement Company Field, as well as the Hall of Fame’s Rotary Field, and Stratford’s National Stadium, and the schedule is attached.
Other entrants include the Chatham Diamonds, Etobicoke Rangers, Kitchener Panthers, Riverside Royals, Tecumseh Rangers, Walker Homesites Hawks, Waterloo Tigers Windsor Stars, Brampton and North York.
