Toronto Blue Jays Team Autographed

Bat

1977

This bat is autographed by members of the 1977 Toronto Blue Jay team. This was the inaugural season of the Toronto Blue Jays as the team was added to Major League Baseball in the 1976 expansion. The 1977 team finished with a disappointing 54-107 record, but did set some records for franchise firsts, including the first walk-off win (July 15, 1977 after 13 innings against the Detroit Tigers), and first grand slam (June 27, 1977). The Toronto Blue Jays also had their first All-Star in Ron Fairly, who had previously represented the Montreal Expos at the 1973 All-Star Game.
