The story of the Vancouver Asahi baseball team is one of community, persecution, and legacy. From 1914-1941, The Asahi, a team formed of Japanese-Canadians, came from humble beginnings and worked hard to develop a new and unique style of baseball. Though their sporting history was cut short by tragic circumstances, the legacy of the Asahi still lives on today as a significant part of both Baseball and Canadian history.
