Larry Walker is a Canadian former professional baseball player from Maple Ridge, British Columbia. He played in Major League Baseball for 17 years, for the Montreal Expos, the Colorado Rockies, and the St. Louis Cardinals. Walker was a five-time All-Star, the National League MVP in 1997, a seven-time Gold Glove Award winner, a three-time Silver Slugger Award winner, a three-time MLB batting champion, and the National League home run leader in 1997. He was inducted to the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in 2009, and into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown in 2020. Walker’s number was retired by the Colorado Rockies in September 2021.
