THIS FRIDAY TORONTO BLUE JAYS LEGENDS TO ATTEND LONDON SALUTES CANADIAN BASEBALL BREAKFAST

George Bell, Duane Ward and Devon White to participate in Canadian ball hall fundraiser

London Salutes Canadian Baseball breakfastSt. Marys, Ont. – Three Toronto Blue Jays greats have been added to the list of celebrities that will attend the London Salutes Canadian Baseball breakfast at the London Convention Centre on June 20.

2013 Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame inductee George Bell, as well as Duane Ward and Devon White, both members of the Blue Jays’ 1992 and 1993 World Series-winning clubs, will be on hand to participate in a question and answer session alongside 2014 inductees and Montreal Expos legends, Tim Wallach and Dave Van Horne, and National Baseball Hall of Fame inductee Fergie Jenkins. Two former Expos executives, Murray Cook (2014 inductee) and Jim Fanning (2000 inductee), will also be in attendance.

“The addition of these Blue Jays greats will make the Q&A session even more fascinating. I can’t wait to listen to all of these baseball legends reminisce about their careers,” said Scott Crawford, the Canadian ball hall’s director of operations. “A big thank you to the Toronto Blue Jays, Lerners Lawyers and the London Convention Centre for their sponsorship and support of this event. It wouldn’t be possible without them.”

The event will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. and will feature a hot buffet breakfast, the national anthem sung by renowned Canadian actor and singer Michael Burgess, a live auction, a raffle and the aforementioned Q&A session.

Tickets are $50 each or $400 for a table of eight. A portion of the registration fee is eligible for a tax receipt. There are still tickets available, but you must register in advance and spaces are filling up quickly.

Net proceeds from the event will assist the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame’s KIDS ON DECK program, which uses baseball as a medium to teach cultural awareness and social justice to boys and girls.
