Hit a homerun with a birthday party at the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum!

With two package options to choose from, the baseball lover in your life will have a blast at their Hall of Fame Birthday Party!

Frequently Asked Questions:

How long are birthday parties at the Hall of Fame?

We schedule 2.5 hours for parties, which includes a 1-hour ballgame on one of our premier fields, 45 minutes in the outdoor picnic area for your group to enjoy their food and cake and open presents, and 45 minutes inside the museum for your group tour.

What ages can come to host their birthday party at the Hall of Fame?

While our Bases Loaded package is targeted toward kids’ parties, we will adapt to cater the Fielder’s Choice package to any age! Want to celebrate a 60th birthday with a ballgame? Sounds great! Let’s make it happen!

What does the Hall of Fame provide for parties?

We provide a finely kept ball diamond with bases and a home plate. While we don’t have enough equipment for a whole team, we do have some extra gloves and helmets in case any of your guests don’t have one of their own, but you’ll have to source some bats and balls to bring along. Within the picnic area, we only provide the picnic tables, you will have to bring your own table cloths, plates, cutlery, etc.

Are batting helmets mandatory for games?

Yes, batting helmets are mandatory for the games. We have a few that we can supply if needed.

Are there umpires for our game?

No, we do not provide umpires. If you think you may want to bring in an umpire then we can provide you some names, but after that coordinating and paying for an official will be up to you.

What happens if it rains?

Use of the ballfields for birthday parties is weather dependent. We will only call a ballgame off in the event of lightning or unsafe playing conditions, anything less is per your discretion. If you choose not to go ahead with the party due to weather, you will be able to hold onto your birthday party credit, and we will work with you to reschedule for another date (although with the understanding that our fields do fill up so an optimal timeslot may no longer be available).

What is the “birthday party season” at the Hall of Fame?

Our birthday party season runs from the beginning of May through until the end of September. This is all dependent on the weather though, so if there is snow on the ground then we have to adjust that season.

What kind of facilities are available?

We do not have a kitchen on site, but we do have a fridge if you need somewhere to store a cake or food the day of the party. In terms of washrooms, we have accessible washrooms inside the museum, while there are outhouses on site for visitors to the ballfields. Please also note that the picnic area is uncovered.

Is the Hall of Fame accessible?

The Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum is accessible. We have a ramp at the front of the building, and an accessible washroom inside.

What can we expect on our Museum Tour?

The museum tour is led by one of our experienced guides who can share stories from the history of baseball, and talk about today’s players too. We have vintage gloves for visitors to try on, a scavenger hunt through the museum, a “Where’s Waldo” style seek and find activity, a discovery station, and more. Tours are interactive and fun, and can be adapted for various ages and interest levels.

Can parents and siblings participate too?

While you’re outside during your scheduled time, the space is yours, so parents and siblings can join at your discretion. For the Museum tour portion of the party, your package covers the birthday kid plus two parents/guardians and up to 10 guests. After that every additional kid is $5. Other parents/guardians from your party are welcome to join as well, but we will charge them our group rate admission of $9 each.

Do your staff do any set up or clean up?

Our expert grounds crew will ensure the ballfield is ready to go for your party, with bases and a home plate. We do however expect that you will help us keep our ballfields and picnic area in good shape by placing any garbage into the available trash receptacles on site, and taking any decorations with you when the party ends. The museum itself is fully maintained by our staff.
