The World Series starts on Wednesday and Canadian John Axford of the St. Louis Cardinals will be there (along with bullpen catcher Jamie Pogue from Guelph, ON).
Over the years 29 Canadians have played for St. Louis including Hall of Famers: Tip O’Neill, Larry McLean, Justin Jay Clarke, Frank O’Rourke, Jeff Heath, Tom Burgess, Ron Taylor, Ron Piche, Reggie Cleveland, Rheal Cormier, Stubby Clapp and Larry Walker.
Plus Hall of Famer Dave McKay was a coach for many seasons with St. Louis.
