PREMIER 12 TOURNAMENT CANADIAN ROSTER FILLED WITH HALL OF FAMERS

Baseball Canada Canada will be competing against teams from the top 11 other baseball nations in the inaugural Premier 12 Tournament that’s scheduled to take place from November 8 to 21.

Canada is currently ranked seventh in the world, while Japan, United States and Cuba head into the tournament ranked first, second and third respectively.

The Canadian team’s first game will be against Cuba on Tuesday, November 10 at 5:30 am EST. The rest of the schedule can be found cliquez ici.

Canadian Baseball Hall of Famers Ernie Whitt (2009), Bernie Soulliere (2009), Larry Walker (2009), Paul Quantrill (2010) and Rob Ducey (2013) have coaching or executive roles with the team. And several of the team members – including players Andrew Albers, Shawn Hill, Brock Kjeldgaard, Kyle Lotzkar, Dustin Molleken and Scott Richmond, as well as coaching, executive and training staff members Whitt, Walker, Soulliere, Dave Blatz, Denis Boucher, Greg Hamilton and Keith Sanford – were inducted in 2012 as part of the 2011 gold medal-winning Pan Am Games squad.
