Mississauga North Tigers 13u AA
Congratulations to this week’s Team of the Week: Mississauga North Tigers 13U AA!
When the Tigers entered postseason play earlier this summer, their opponents underestimated them, but not without reason. The Tigers had finished the regular season in last place in the Central Ontario Baseball Association (COBA). The regular season’s performance made them massive underdogs as they entered the provincial qualifiers, but the Tigers found an extra gear. Per their nomination, the Tigers “peaked when it mattered, played amazing defense, pitched with dominance and had timely hitting… the energy and cohesiveness of this group was unmatched.” In an incredible showcase of the team’s determination, the Tigers finished the provincial qualifiers with a 4-1 record, earning themselves the right to represent COBA in the 13U AA OBAs over Labour Day weekend. This team showed up when it mattered most, using everything they had learned over the season and turning it into wins in an epic underdog story! Congratulations, Tigers on qualifying for OBAs, and good luck over the Labour Day weekend at your tournament… we’ll be rooting for you!
