8U St. Thomas Cardinals
Congratulations to this week’s Team of the Week: the 8U St. Thomas Cardinals!
The Cardinals are a true underdog success story… and who doesn’t love to root for a team like that?
This scrappy group came together last year, winning just 5 games throughout the 2024 season, but they were not to be deterred! All 8 underage players returned to the Cardinals for 2025 ready to learn and improve in the sport they love. With a positive mindset, and the support of dedicated coaches and parents, the Cardinals have already outpaced their previous season’s records. The team made it to the semi-finals in their first tournament of the 2025 season, having never progressed out of the preliminary rounds in the previous year. The players have demonstrated resiliency, positive attitudes, and a desire to learn and grow, and they are now reaping the rewards of that dedication. Did we mention that they’ve made it into first place in their division? As their nomination says, “The future is bright for these Cardinals!”
Congratulations, team, keep up the amazing work! Go Cardinals Go!
